Growing up we are taught to act and be a certain way. Men in the media often posse tough and "hunter" qualities, while women are silence and obeying the law of the man (patriarchy). This creates rape culture, in which rape and other sexual violence (usually against women) are common norms and practices are encouraged. In other words, saying it's okay to abuse women based on our society values in which the media has portrayed.
